Genistein-enriched soy isoflavones

The skin is regulated by estrogens in terms of its thickness, hydration, pigmentation and lipid profile; therefore, an adequate level of estrogens favors the healthy look of the dermis. The decrease in estrogen that occurs during menopause, mostly after the age of 45, causes an acceleration of skin ageing. To counteract these effects, several studies have confirmed the beneficial actions of soy isoflavones, especially genistein, on the structural properties of the skin and the stimulation of hyaluronic acid production.
